Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Rosemary Chaney of RC Psychotherapy collects, uses and safeguards your personal information under the EU GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

Contact details (name, phone, email), appointment details, and — where you choose to provide it — brief background information you supply on the intake form. Information you share during sessions is held in confidence and covered separately by our Confidentiality policy.

Lawful basis

Contact and appointment data is processed on the basis of contract (arranging and delivering therapy) and legitimate interests. Intake and session-related information (special category health data) is processed with your explicit consent.

How long we keep it

Contact and appointment records are retained for seven years from the end of therapy, in line with professional guidance. You may request earlier deletion; some records must be retained where required by law or insurance.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase (where applicable) and restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

This notice will be extended as the booking system goes live. For questions in the meantime, contact info@rcpsychotherapy.ie.
