My name is Rosemary Chaney. I have been a practising counsellor and an accredited member of the IACP since 2005. My particular specialisation is trauma support using the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy model — a body-based approach trained through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute in Boulder, Colorado.

I qualified as a counsellor in 1997 and have been in continuous practice ever since. Over that time I've sat with a very wide range of people — from teenagers to grandparents, couples to whole families, colleagues in supervision — through the ordinary and the extraordinary events of a life.

My style is warm, thoughtful and pragmatic. I don't rush people. I take the time to understand what's happening for you before we talk about what might help. I bring a wide experience of people, issues and ways of approaching things — and, most importantly, a genuine belief that therapy works.

“I trust in your ability to live your own life and make your own decisions — my focus is to help you put into words what is troubling you, and to find your own solutions.”

I see clients in person in Gorey, Co. Wexford and in Dublin, and securely online across Ireland. If you'd like to talk about starting sessions, or you just have a question, please get in touch.
